Review # 1 was written on 2011-04-08 00:00:00 Damian Cardone The Trouble With Baby exemplifies a typical brother/sister situation where one is upset with the other. There is jealousy and pretend play that cause the siblings to feud, until a common interest is shared. The siblings end up sharing that interest, and most importantly, solve their issue on their own. The book shows a great sense of independence along with sibling trouble. It would be a great book to use for 3rd grade and below. It teaches various lessons that could be applied in the classroom. Was an okay read, not the best illustrations, but has a great message. |
Review # 2 was written on 2011-11-17 00:00:00 Joshua Gallaudet A sister and a brother are both absolutely inseperable until the sister gets a baby doll for her birthday. Sister includes the doll in all the activities that the, now, three play together. Brother, however, is feeling a bit left out. It isn't until after brother decides to not play with sister and her doll anymore that sister realizes she misses playing with brother. This book shows jealousy and feeling left out, feelings that are extremely familiar for most children. I'd read this to my younger readers because they will be able to use their schema to relate. |
