Review # 1 was written on 2021-02-04 00:00:00 James Crosby I wanted to really like this book - a combination of science and superheroes to engage reluctant readers with a variety of interests. I would have liked, however, a better meshing of the two topics. As it is, each page has long paragraphs about space and sidebars which add notes about superheroes or other aspects of the DC universe. The sidebars mostly match the page's topic, but the connection is not always clear, and the sidebars also include nonfiction facts about space which would be better suited to the main text. The limited white space makes the text more difficult to read and decreases the visual appeal. Overall it's a cool concept, but could have been executed better.
