Review # 1 was written on 2015-02-21 00:00:00 Ben Mitchell So far this book has really helped me think about what my philosophy of music education is and why people around us value and appreciate music. Definetely a hard read but very informative and in depth.

Review # 2 was written on 2017-01-12 00:00:00 Les Baker This was a textbook for my "Advanced Concepts in Music Education" graduate class. It was okay..... There is some very good information in it but it definitely needs to be updated. Some material is definitely outdated and since it discusses the history of music education, it needs to continue to current day.
