I remember those commercials from many afternoons and evenings from 1974 to ~ 1981 when I was really immersed in sports as a kid. Pops was a big Spillane fan to begin with and having him paired with The Doll was inspired genius. RIP Pops and the Mick. I got this on an Interlibrary Loan (ILL), but it probably rates inclusion in my personal library. A LOT had changed in American beer in the thirty years since its publication, however.
