Review # 1 was written on 2015-02-20 00:00:00 Jenifer Henry The Science of Success by Wallace D. Wattles was an extremely cerebral and riddling read. The book is meant to put the reader in a position of success( financially and mentally) which ergo introduces some very interesting concepts as you read. However, it should be noted that the author very thoroughly details every remark which can make it difficult to follow or even understand at times especially because some of these concepts are abstract. For instance, he describes “the way of creation over competition when handling money” and meticulously describes why it is a good rule for life. The long lengthy sentences and the antiquated writing style can make it boring at times, but the actual knowledge placed in the book is quite powerful and even resonant at times. Although, as inspiring as some of his lectures are on a subject, everything must be taken with a grain of salt especially when you consider the time it was written. Overall, however, I would recommend this book to someone who has some extra time, a high Lexile, and a desire to gain some new opinions on the subjects of life.
