Review # 1 was written on 2007-12-15 00:00:00 Ruthanne Trefelner People love to hate Jorie Graham, but this was probably the single best manifestation of the BAP poetry so far. She made stellar picks, from Gustaf Sobin to Emily Hiestand...she showed she's a great reader with this anthology. This one and Hejinian are probably my two favorite cullings from the series. The Ashbery-edited inaugural one was pretty great too, but if he really selected himself for inclusion in the anthology that's pretty pathetic. I mean was it like he really needed to take that page from some lesser known or unknown writer? How ungenerous.
