Review # 1 was written on 2021-02-11 00:00:00 Kevin Bickford Lightweight book going nowhere. A little Suffolk, too much spoilt brats. Tilly will probably manage but the indulged son, Jack, seems doomed to self indulgent violence. All in all, how not to raise children.

Review # 2 was written on 2011-08-05 00:00:00 Craig Cassidy There is so much knowledge packed into this book. The author is an ethnobotanist and she shows the reader all the intricacies and interconnectedness of all life on the planet. She gives the following suggestions to help the Earth; human beings need to live within nature, not outside of it; cultures must be deeply rooted within individuals; elders' wisdom and experience must be honoured and heeded; youth must be educated to the needs of the planet; local languages must be preserved as a guarantor of culture; communities mus recognize relationships with ceremonies; patience and persistence - go slow, and make no mistakes. There is so much to think about in each paragraph of this book.
