I found this book when I was little amongst my mother’s collection. It was an endless source of mystery and wonder to me then. My particular favourites were the parts about the Wolf Children, Sea Monsters, Bemuda Triangle, how the Pyramids were built and U.F.O.s Of course the book was written in the seventies so much of the research is probably out of date now but Hitching provides fascinating insight of a broad array of topics. Now that I have uncovered it again I’m looking forward to googling the hell out the more interesting sections and to see what I will find.

Good book. Would give it 3.5 stars if that was possible. Pretty good selection of different topics and even though I have read about all of the topics covered here there was still plenty of new information for me. Of course this is rather old book but these ancient mysteries are such that few decades does really nothing to them.
