Review # 1 was written on 2013-03-19 00:00:00 Joseph Pagan Good breakdown of the economic values of Ireland, the Irish and her importance. Enthralling account which uses most of the other faculties at a students fingertips to perfection. Gives perspectives that one may overlook when thinking about Ireland. Strips back the notion of Ireland. |
Review # 2 was written on 2014-10-24 00:00:00 Eiko Watanabe One of my tasks in my new non-profit leadership role is to develop a communications plan. Never having drafted a formalized plan before, I have been doing some research. This book caught my eye because of its focus on non-profits and I was pleasantly surprised to find it very accessible. The book is a bit dated at this point, lacking exploration of online strategies and no mention of social media at all, but there was a lot of solid foundational information here. I am not planning to build my plan per the model suggested here, but there were a number of great takeaways that I'll definitely be using to inform my approach. Especially helpful for me were the discussions regarding mission/goals as well as evaluation of communication strategies. |
