Review # 1 was written on 2011-02-28 00:00:00 Sergiu Vladu I am forever reading decorating bks but rarely implementing ideas (perhaps because i like so few of them... I took an occupation interior design class in high school and (believe) i already have an inate sense of color and design. These colours aren't so much for me~i think in the end it all comes down to doing what you like and feel (and know you can live with and in~take everyone elses' opinion with a grain of salt. This book like so many others has great pictures and some ideas but is a little thin on content... (tho it is always nice to look at pictures...)

Review # 2 was written on 2010-12-31 00:00:00 Kevin Long While I did not like many of the styles shown in this book, it is full of information on how to use color in your home decoration and how color affects the look and mood of the room. Therefore before jumping into a new color scheme, I highly recommend this book. The back half of the book gives step by step instructions on how to apply different painting techniques including stippling, stripes, rag rolling, bagging, color-washing, and creating faux effects like stone and brick work.
