Review # 1 was written on 2016-03-03 00:00:00 Corky Elliott Jordan Paper covers the complex notions of Shaman versus Trance-medium-ship, with superb storytelling skills. He also looks at the intersection of what he calls 'zero' meditation praxis from a cross-cultural point of view, which is potent and well informed by his own experiences. This is an excellent book for thinking about Chinese religion in practice.

Was particularly fascinated by the chapter on Christianity interpreted through a Chinese cultural lens.
