Review # 1 was written on 2012-10-30 00:00:00 William Balz I find myself constantly going back and flipping through this book. Dawes is full of great ideas and interesting thoughts on creativity and ways to find inspiration.

"You pick it up, use it, put it away- no instructions needed. Everytime I approach design, I think of the flawless simplicity and stunning visual feedback of of the humble pencil." It's a fun book that reminds the reader how important creative seeing is. "Why comfort is the enemy of creativity," is a mantra, while his guiding philosophy since first getting into digital design in the early '90's is:"why does it have to be like that?"
