I'm reading the paperback version which is titled "The Outdated Man". There are 13 stories by some great SF authors. The first four didn't blow any wind up my skirt (2 stars), but "The Cold War...Continued" by Mack Reynolds is a great statement on our foreign policy & "The Factory" by Mitchison is an excellent one about the environment (4 stars). That's pretty much the way the rest of the book went. Some stories were just OK, others hit home, generally in a historic way, though. The 'future' of most of the stories is now the past. Still a good read.

Not nearly as good as the first two, Nova 3 is full of dated sci fi and well visited themes. Easily the best, however, was Philip Jose Farmer. Terrific story worthy of a reprint somewhere else. Seem to remember a tv show recently along the same lines as this story
