Review # 1 was written on 2007-08-19 00:00:00 Mclarry Larry Jefferson was an avid gardener and his gardens at Monticello are spectacular. He was the first to cultivate many European varieties of vegetables in the United States and his garden journals give great insight into his love of horticulture. He truly appreciated gardening as both an art and a science.
