I think that the name of this book isn't appropriate for what the stories are like. Ribticklers (by Michael Rosen) is supposed to mean that it "tickles your ribs" like it's really funny. The stories aren't funny. I think that only one story was funny. But it depends on the age of the people reading the book. Comedy is different for every age group. For example adult comedy isn't funny to kids and kid comedy isn't funny for adults but sometimes it is. I suggest that maybe ages 6 or 7-8 or 9. Any older than that, I think that it won't be funny or maybe the stories themselves just aren't that funny. And you kinda have to know how thay talked back in the older days and stuff like that or the stories might not be that interesting or understandable. That's what happened to me. For example, in one of the stories you have to know what they called certain bunches of pennies like a "tanner" is six pennies and a "bob" is 12 pennies. So when I was reading that story, I couldn't really understand and follow it. I think that I might just skip to another book so I can at least enjoy and understand the book. Well, I'll update you on my next book.

I decided to read a book called Ribticklers Funny Stories by Michael Rosen. The genre of this book is fiction, specifically comedy as it includes a lot of funny stories which Michael gathered. I decided to read this book as part of an english assignment, I chose funny stories because I like comedy things. As this book isn't a normal book (it includes many short stories), it doesn't have a place and time which is constant throughout the book. For each story there is a different main character. The characters can't really change because it's a short story so the author doesn't have a lot of words to describe what is happening. My favorite story from the ones I read is The Maulvi and the Donkey. I like this story because it is a different one and I like reading new things. This story made me feel different things because it involves different stories and each stories is different, btu most of them made me laugh as this book is a collection of funny short stories. Some of the stories are boring and I didn't read them because after the first paragraph I was falling asleep. I think this book is for 11-14. 7/10.
