This book is an incredible resource with detailed pictures on things like restoring or replacing cracked veneer, and cleaning ancient ceramics. A fabulous must-own book for any collector.

Tools and supplies for each class of repair are detailed and accompanied by a photo. The steps are enough for me to start from, and as a rank amateur they give me a basis for knowing what further help to seek. I had no idea that you could mend ceramics with expoxy putty and finish with cold-curing glazing! Helpful advice on cleaning jewelry stones, silver, metal, and more. How to repair old gilt frames even with some intricate profiles. Chapters include: furniture , upholstery, leather, textiles, rugs & carpets, ceramics, metal, jewelry, stoneware, art & print, dolls, bears & toys, and plastic. How to repair stemware with a chipped rim! This book is well worth owning if you are interested in care & repair! I just bought a copy!
