It's a full read, but for some reason, Critical Social Psychology doesn't generate that interest in me for psychology. Critical psychology just brings out the dirty in social psychology.

I came at this book as someone with a really limited relationship with psychology. I have read the odd psychology book and am familiar with some of the areas that it has influenced social anthropology. However I have never taken a class or anything. I still found the book to be incredibly engaging and written in a manner which was really enjoyable and easy to follow. There was some surprise at some of the ideas being covered given the date of the book. I am more familiar with these issues being covered in the 70s or 80s in social anthropology. But they were incredibly interesting and there were a lot of important critiques which I think hold merit beyond the field itself.
