Review # 1 was written on 2020-03-18 00:00:00 Nathan Arcy Firstly the presentation of the animals being sewn into the book encourages the children to be creative. Although the story is fairly simple it is very multi-dimensional as it could be used in cross-curricular activities as the end pages include information on animals in the northern lands. The sense of rhyme is a nice touch and makes the book an engaging read. There is a fun element of hide and seek to the book as the children can spot the animals that are included in the text of each page. |

It's engaging and interactive as the children can look for the 'elusive Moose' on each page to make it more enjoyable. The illustrations strongly link to textiles and children could have a go at using felt and sewing in DT. It has a section at the back which has information about all the different animals which feature in the back which could be good teaching points. |
