Review # 1 was written on 2017-06-28 00:00:00 Kenneth Maksimchuk Barely 3stars. Preferred Deluxe: How Luxury Lost Its Luster by Dana Thomas to this book, which never really takes off. The essay consists of two kinds od paragraphs: those without transitions (which feel like an expanded PowerPoint presentation) and those between which some transitions are visible - which feel prewritten, but it may be my negative bias, since I hate stacked unconnected paras.
