This book was all about dogs. It talked about the different types of dogs, how to take care of dogs, their behaviors and their life spans. The pages were brightly colored and it made the facts stand out on the page even more than if they weren't colorful. I paired this book with the fiction book "Pup at the Palace" by M. Baglio. This book is about two kids who go to London to save a lost puppy. I thought that this book would make a good pairing because the student would be able to point out different behaviors of the puppy throughout the book based on their knowledge of the nonfiction book. It would also benefit a student who loved the fiction book because they love dogs. The nonfiction book would be a good start for that student to learn more about dogs in general.

Extremely appealing to older preschool/early elem with excellent use of variety of photos and great information for children considering a dog as a pet.
