Interesting! :) Sea turtles go back to where they were born and lay their eggs there. They lay their eggs by digging the sand, and putting their eggs in. When the sand is hot, there would be more females. But when the sand is cold, more male. Sea turtles don't have legs. Instead they have flippers shaped like ping pong pads to help them swim. I would recommend this book to whoever wants to know more about sea turtles. Great book! :)

Nonfiction Text: Sea Turtles, Copyright 2010. This book over sea turtles was very informing. It gave the facts where sea turtles live, the food they eat, about their shell, and about sea turtle babies. It was very interesting because in the book they related the sea turtle's shell to the bones that make up our body as humans. I would pair this with the twin text "Lulu Bell and the Sea Turtle" by Belinda Murrell. I would pair this with this children's chapter book because the little girl, Lulu, is on vacation and really wishes to see a sea turtle. By reading the nonfiction book about sea turtles the child who is reading this book would know about sea turtles and their habitat. This will give the child more knowledge about sea turtles and will be able to use that knowledge while reading the twin text.
