Review # 2 was written on 2018-04-17 00:00:00 Belinda Robinson The ladybug book explains how ladybugs are insects and they are a kind of beetle. Ladybugs start as eggs in the spring. A baby ladybug is called larva. One thing the larva eats in aphids which are pests that kill plants. After about 3 or 4 weeks the larva builds a shell around its body. The ladybugs start out yellow and do not have spots. As the ladybugs get older they change colors and grow spots. Then the book goes into talking about all the parts of a ladybug. This would be good to use when teaching a lesson over insects. An activity that teachers could do is observe a lady bug and write down what they see. |
