My own brother in law raised his two children and if I say so myself has done a pretty good job of it. Even when he had to move to Germany the kids went too. Of course they learned so much more having the opportunity to travel like that. Later on both of them joined Job Corp and built upon the skills they learned there. Traveling to different places is nothing new to them now at all. But how does a single dad know so he can raise his own kids to be healthy and happy. I mean most programs and support is geared toward single women doing this job. I mean there is not a manual out there you know! But wait there is now! Yeah Craig Baird did just that. He wrote A Complete Guide for Single Dads: Everything You Need to Know about Raising Healthy, Happy Children on your Own. I have to say this is a complete book indeed. How to deal with raising a son or daughter, stress and cooking, discipline and rules, custody or dating, how the ex fits in and how to cope with widowhood. From childcare to doctor visits. I love that it is easy and concise. This is a great go to manual for any dad. I am going to share it with my Step Son even though he is not a 'single' dad. I feel there is some great information for him to gleam from this one.
