Review # 1 was written on 2016-08-02 00:00:00 Laura Johnson Quite possibly the best non-fiction book I have ever read. Everything is explained very clearly, even for those just reading for the fun of it (I already have some background in genetics so it was even more relevant). This was breathtaking, a page-turner, and stunningly fascinating. I really wish there was a sequel (maybe there is a newer edition out?) because it was written over ten years ago and I would just love to hear the new advancements in genetic engineering. I was literally glued to this book, poring over the details and illustrations. The gel phoresis imaging was particularly mind blowing. But hey, I'm a REALLY BIG GEEK. This stuff excites me. Thumbs up!! I hope I'll be able to take some courses in this field in university...I'll be doing honours science so it's a possibility!
