I think the 2nd volume of Mugen Spiral is even better than the first. I attribute it to the discrete relationship between Yayoi and Ura. It's there, but it isn't exactly explicit - which keeps you wondering when something really happens between them. Unfortunately, it is also the end of a sorta inconclusive series. Normally, most manga do not follow the traditional American sort of HEA with a neatly tied ribbon. In fact, most leave the ending so ambiguous, you begin wondering why you even started reading it. In this series, another 1 or 2 volumes would be welcomed. Ura's story with gaining power to help his family wasn't fully resolved - though we learn more about his childhood. Yayoi's flashback part was actually kinda cool - adding to the complexity of her feelings toward Ura. This volume is seriously cute and funny. I enjoyed many of the parts, but specifically the part near the end about Ura's mother's bride searching event. He found exactly what he was looking for, so its safe to say, we made it to the end. Clearly, I liked the book; the plot, the art and all. I would recommend this to everyone. and I am glad I didn't decide to sell my volume 1 just because I couldn't find volume 2 (and I like having complete series)
