Parts of it were very interesting. I enjoyed the summaries of different apologetic discussions and forums mostly, and as always it is beautiful to read about a heart open to God's grace. Unfortunately, it is in a style that just doesn't work for me. It leaves me feeling slightly confused and scattered. It is more a series of reminiscences than an autobiography. So it includes summaries of forum discussions and personal conversations, beautiful scenery descriptions, personal struggles, poetry, and organizational politics; all mixed together. I couldn't tell sometimes if it was supposed to be an autobiography or history of the Veritas Forums. Then there were the random discussions of the best way to witness to or encourage others. I assume that it is loosely chronological, but I'm really not sure about that either. That all gave me a rather confused feeling as the focus seemed rather scattered. I have no knowledge of this group beyond what I learned in this book. I really admire their desire to be witnesses in the Ivy League. God has blessed their efforts and used them to reach so many people. There really isn't a doctrinal stance to this book, so knowing just what they are espousing beyond a couple of basic points is impossible. The author mentions favorably promoting Hugh Ross and N.T. Write. So I think they may be promoting a very liberal form of Christianity. That would make me cautious of their broader theology. Content warning. On one hand, I understand the author's desire to quote as accurately possible those she speaks with. On the other, I don't appreciate the quoting of cursing and foul language. She cleans it up some by dropping a few letters, but it's not hard to fill in the blanks, especially when it's an audiobook. The forums and discussions also cover questions that are important to answer Biblically, but they are for a mature audience.

A beautiful and personal narrative about a young woman's vision for a vibrant Christian forum to emerge in the midst of academic secularism against all odds coming into being. And then spreading around the world! I've enjoyed the Veritas talks but had no idea about how this unique community emerged. At times I found the book a little preachy and verbose but overall it conveys the seemingly miraculous conversation about the relevance of Jesus Christ in all of life to a modern secularized audience. Recommend this book for students with spiritual questions, or who are discouraged by the hostility of the ivory tower towards Jesus and need to hear a story of hope and possibility. I look forward to reading next her first book, "Finding God At Harvard"!
