this book is a modern take on sex and the city. there were so many characters in this novel as well as their personal stories that it was hard to keep up with. i had to write on a little post it the characters and their stories just to remind myself who they were talking about. so many! but it was nonetheless a mildly entertaining read. Here is one quote that i liked: - tell me how you wanted to be with me the minute you saw me -the minute the movie was over, everyone started talking very fast, but they weren't listening to each other..they made me dizzy and confused..how you say it? -dazed and confused -yes. Then, I saw you next to the flowers…and you were quiet and still, not like a statue, but like a wise person. Like someone who see's." ---the sparkle life

I spent most of this book confused. I picked it up at the library on a whim... It bounced between several main characters, and I had a difficult time differentiating between their boyfriend's, relatives, fuck buddies, exes, doctors, etc... Everyone was intertwined, but I felt like there was no plot. Don't get me wrong; I wasn't bored. I had no problem reading the book all the way through, never once wishing it was over. But each chapter felt like an individual story, and it lacked cohesiveness. I also had no problem putting it down, which is abnormal for me. Typically if I'm enjoying a book, I am utterly useless until I finish. Oh well!
