Review # 1 was written on 2008-04-12 00:00:00 Todd Chidester The Baseball America Prospect Handbook may seem by some to be an over the top guide with no practical value to those outside of baseball. The guide has been a huge assistance to me, as a fantasy baseball owner who is in a keeper league that has a farm system. It is also very helpful to those in the sportscard industry who need to constantly find more information on prospects in order to accumulate inventory of possible popular future players. The guide itself is very comprehensive, it showcases 30 prospects in all 30 major league baseball franchises. Not only does it provide a rank (the valitiy of which can be argued) but only covers 2 or 3 prospects on each page. This in depth summary of each player along with his professional statistics are what makes the handbook a must have. Even to the casual baseball fan it is fun to have around for the weekly call ups on every team to find out more about them. It's always fun to try and watch the first game of the exciting prospects that may become tomorrows stars. *Added bonus lists in the book of: -Top 50 prospects by 5 analysts. -Rank of the farm system of all 30 teams. -Depth chart of ranked and unranked prospects of each teams farm system. -Top 100-200 Prospects each of the past three years MLB amatur draft. -Top 100 High School and College prospects for the upcoming June MLB amatur draft. -Top 20 prospects in each minor league system I give this book five stars.

Review # 2 was written on 2008-12-01 00:00:00 Nancy Cisler Once again, an invaluable resource, and likely my most-referenced book of the year. Can't wait for the 2009 edition.
