Ever since the legal fiction of "brain death" was formed at Harvard University in 1968, there have been both moral, medical and ethical controversies surrounding it. Many of the chapters presuppose a familiarity with the basic terminology that has surround the definition of death. Something I have been researching for the last two years.

Review # 2 was written on 2014-01-03 00:00:00 John Mcvicar I thought this book was intelligent, well-argued, and thought-provoking. I'm not entirely convinced that all of the author's conclusions are correct, but the subject matter of the book is of the highest importance.
