This is a really good book, concise, informative and inspirational in a way. The subtitle is 'The Real Woman's Guide to Dating and Romance' Her point, that of Katie Arons, the plus model who wrote this is that being sexy is about confidence and attitude about oneself. I've heard it before and for a time I've believed it, but then soon I got back to my old habits of avoiding the gazes of men and going through life in a manner of apologizing for how much room I take up. But I'm going to try to hold on to how I feel now. I will keep coming back to this book to refine and reinforce my new manifesto - that I will no longer apologize for my body. I abused my body in the past and the body I have is it's result, but I forgive myself for what is past and will allow my body to be as it wants in the future with moderate exercise and good food. I will try not to avoid that gaze of men and in fact, initiate some gazing of my own.
