Review # 1 was written on 2018-03-19 00:00:00 Rosemarie Ippolito This is a truly enjoyable Christian historical fiction novel set in Germany during WW II. An arranged marriage, betrayal, moral dilemmas, and a growing faith all made this a page turner for me. I wish it was the first book in a series; I would love to read more about Joanna and Erich! |
Review # 2 was written on 2010-08-11 00:00:00 Steven Franklin This book looked like it would be really good. And it was -- in a way. I really had problems with the dialog. There were about three main subjects that everyone discussed every time they met. It was redundant. The cover art is rather fetching, but I thought that the picture of Erich on the front was really not what he was supposed to look like. One plus of this book was that you can read it and feel safe that you're not going to run into mature material. That was appreciated. To sum this up: It's a good, clean read, but not very creative. |
