This is great introduction to the circulatory system for kids. It's listed for ages 8-12 and I'd have to agree with that for the most part. Inquisitive kids age 6 -7 would enjoy it too if an adult read it and answered questions if they get confused. The book is very detailed. The cute illustrations help explain what is going on without making the idea of blood scary. This book reminds me of Magic School Bus because a little creature travels down the blood stream through the heart and the rest of the circulatory system, checking out all the parts. Parts of the book look like a comic and the illustrations are very cartoony. It may be designed for kids but it explains it all very well and I enjoyed reading it too. I have read the circulatory system before so I didn't learn much but most adults probably don't know this much detail and would learn something.

Ever wonder how to explain the body systems to children, especially the circulatory system? Most all children are fascinated by the heart and how it keeps us alive. This book is rich in technically accurate vocabulary that takes the reader on a journey through the circulatory system of the body. Written and illustrated almost like a cartoon or comic book the text provides the reader with a chance to engage in authentic vocabulary in a no pressure kind of way. I cannot think of a better text to introduce young readers to scientifically appropriate terms without overwhelming them with jargon that is difficult to digest. If you are looking for a fun science related book to share with your young reader this is a good one to choose. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
