This is the best autobiography on the face of this planet people. David Archuleta is so shy on the outside, but when he writes it all down, he can be deep. In this book, he's full of wonderful things to say about following your dreams, overcomeing challenges, and gives you an inside scoop of what was going on through his mind during the American Idol madness. :) He is an amazing writer and very funny also! I recommend this book for everyone...young, old, people of every age...you ALL can learn something from this young but VERY wise boy! :) 5 STARS ABSOLUTELY! :) :)

"And remember, even if you can't sing, you can always plant a tree." Oh, David.. lol... I suppose I am kind of biased about this book because its two of my favorite things together. Books, and David Archuleta. You wouldn't believe how ecstatic I was to find out he was writing a book. Or if you know me, you probably can... Anyway. In the book, David tells about his childhood, his journey on Star Search, suffering vocal paralysis, his American Idol journey, and then his life afterwards. Then the last two chapters that really don't tell any story, and im not entirely sure how to explain them. Hes talking about himself, and about everyone else at the same time, sort of. I like how the book was written as well. It was written like a book at times, but at the same time, it written like a conversation. Like, if you were to talk to him, thats what he would say. After reading the book, I also feel like i understood who he was as a person better. Which he says was one of his reasons for actually writing the book in many interviews, and multiple times through out the book as well. I also found it easy to relate to him (he mentions several times that he is a shy and introverted person, which I also am, and there are plenty of other things as well.) There are also times when he is kind of random, talking about Pokemon, and randomly mentioning Hilary Duff being one of the celebrity judges on star search. And at the very end of the ook, the whole planting a tree thing. Anyway, i loved the book. It made me smile a whole lot and was entertaining. I will eventually read it again, which I very seldomly do. It was good. :) Anyway, i feel like im rambling.
