Review # 1 was written on 2018-02-12 00:00:00 Mary Reder Another Valentine's Day for Ruby and she spends so many days and nights preparing for her favorite day that she completely sleeps through Valentine's Day. Ruby is sad that all the lovely Valentine things that she made for the townspeople would have to wait another year to be given out, but Lovebird, Ruby's pet, said let's go today anyway and hand everything out anyway. So away they went to town and handed out all the cards, cookies, and other Valentine things to the townspeople. Then Ruby told them how sorry she was that she was a day late, but the townspeople didn't care they told Ruby how sweet and kind she is and so Ruby learned that you can tell people you love them any day not just on Valentine's day, so now Ruby sends out cards all year round. Another wonderful Ruby Valentine book with the same great illustrations and positive message! |
Review # 2 was written on 2010-02-09 00:00:00 Matthew Graves I love the cover and thought this would be one of my favorites this Valentine's Day but it somehow fell short of the mark. It's very cute (both illustrations and rhyme) with an excellent moral (be loving every day) but just somehow failed to impress me overmuch. (I think I'm just reading so much that I'm getting overly picky, haha!) Still, I think it is a worthwhile read for Valentine's Day, especially for children who really love making and sending Valentine's :-) |
