Very brief but still a good "bare bones" overview of the war, probably best for those just becoming interested in the Civil War. It did emphasize certain parts of the war more than others. The only mention of the Trans-Mississippi Theater was the Sacking of Lawrence. He covers the Appomattox Campaign and Lee's surrender with three pages, while the Battle of Bentonville and the surrender of the other Confederate armies after Appomattox each get only a single paragraph.
