Review # 1 was written on 2012-12-26 00:00:00 Mike Xigarevidh A concise read on the topic of dreams, reaching into the past to present the reader with a logical and impartial view on the topic in hand. As dreams are open to interpretation so is the book itself, which makes for light reading not remaining on one facet for too long. The books gives as much an account on the history of dreaming as it does potential meanings, and as a result doesn't lower itself into being a mere 'dictionary' of meanings. I picked up this book for very little money, but got a lot more back.

Review # 2 was written on 2016-10-21 00:00:00 John Jennings I don't typically review textbooks because... well, they're textbooks; school books; informational books; not terribly interesting books. But this one gets to be the exception. Especially in contrast with the actual Psychology course I took, this book was fantastic. The words flow, difficult concepts are made easy, and amusing, relatable, real-life examples are present in every page—Myers even describes some personal anecdotes of his from time to time. And I loved the cartoons (most are from The New Yorker) that illustrate each topic. On point. I recommend this to anyone who wants to get to know the basics of psychology while still enjoying quality reading.
