Review # 1 was written on 2009-01-27 00:00:00 Nick Garcia This book was so funny and honest that I almost felt like I knew the author after reading it. I loved the funny, engaging writing style and the way the book made me think about serious issues (like death) without being depressing. It's written by a chaplain who worked with cancer patients and ended up becoming a patient herself. She is not preachy or judgmental at all, and I loved hearing her views on spirituality. Well worth reading! |
Review # 2 was written on 2008-01-04 00:00:00 Mat Swain This was a great book. I didn't think that I would enjoy it as it deals with a daughter, who is a minister, and her mother, who I know personally through my mom, and their experience with having brest cancer at the same time. It was so funny and touching and honest that I would recommend it everyone I know. I learned that you can cope with cancer and still keep your sense of humor. |
