If you live in the Syracuse New York area, you KNOW where to go to get fabulous barbeque with world-class blues playing in the background. It's at the Dinosaur Bar-B-Que and this book not only gives you the creation of the Dinosaur (bikers need good food at their gatherings too), the construction of the smokers, the in person research into spices, how to smoke properly, tons of grilling tips and the recipes. Yum. There are also lots of pictures, some tattoo art and bathroom quotes - writing on the bathroom walls is encouraged and regularly needs a paint job to get a new surface to fill, lots of tips on low and slow cooking, grilling, setting up a chimney of hot coals and a second one in order to keep the fire at the right temperatures, sources they use - all so the reader can set up their own grill or pit at home. And the recipes. From the lists of ingredients; to setting up the grill, pan, or oven; mixing, making, mopping, flipping and tossing on the fire to cook slow and succulent. John Stage has spread his tasty, juicy ribs and more beyond Syracuse into Rochester and the Harlem area of New York City at the publication of this book. Buffalo, Newark, Brooklyn, Troy and Stanford, Ct have joined in. Seriously, you get the chance to stop in for a meal, you would not regret it. (and you can order 'takeout' for delivery anywhere in the continental US.) Hmm, maybe there needs to be a lunch stop soon for a BBS - brisket, bacon and swiss sandwich....with a side of honey hush cornbread. . . . 2019-182

We use this to cook for "company" and it always becomes a conversation starter! We have tried (and loved!) the Mutha Sauce (aka Dino's jarred BBQ sauce), the guacamole (threw out all our other recipes), the asparagus/red pepper/potato salad, the honey hush corn bread, the cranberry/apple crisp... and loved them all! Now if we can only rig up an outdoor smoker/grill...
