Review # 1 was written on 2007-09-28 00:00:00 Petter Steen I could see where this was going the whole time, and it was kind of cheesy, but the black/grey/blue/heavily lined illustration style is exciting as always. As my roommate said "this book is basically all cliches." Sort of true. Still pretty.

Review # 2 was written on 2015-01-01 00:00:00 Josef Costa The book ends up being a poignant story about family, but the message doesn't really come through until the final chapter and epilogue. Unfortunately, the subject matter is far more interesting than the story being told. Callejo's art manages to carry the story through 100 pages of mostly two people talking, sucking the reader into the world of migrant workers. When it all comes together at the end, it works well; I just wish those themes had run through the first three quarters of the book a little more.
