Review # 1 was written on 2013-03-23 00:00:00 Bruno Sakowicz Wright's ego sets a difficult tone for me, but i can't help but agree with what he's saying. and it's funny how a book written in the 50's is still so prescient for today's architecture. |
Review # 2 was written on 2018-02-10 00:00:00 Mike Wilson A great book overall. The ideas are novel and I like the way he thinks about space and how we interact with it. He has some strong opinions and seems to have put some really deep thought into what architecture means to him, to society, and to man. i would like to give this book 5 stars but some of his arguments are scattered and some of the writing seems lazy in that he sometimes repeats a point for no apparent reason other than he forgot that he already said it. I don't know much about architecture but his ideas about architecture, democracy, and man are fascinating. I wish he put as much care into his writing. |
