Review # 1 was written on 2013-12-27 00:00:00 Peter Moua The book is nice and the project are beautiful, but you do need several tools (scrolls saw, router table, router bits, chisels or a mortise jib, table saw and possibly a drill press)and knowledge how to use them as there are several different types of joints the author uses. As others said, I found the instructions a bit "off" especially for beginners who don't know how to "look" at a project but slowly work their way step by step. I did have to make some adjustments due to the not-so-clear instructions. That being said, I learned a lot from my first project (the bed) and am looking forward to other projects. |
Review # 2 was written on 2014-12-06 00:00:00 Rodolphe Gautier OK as a starting point, but full of errors. For example, says to cut 2" blank into two 1" pieces - you'll need a zero kerf saw for that. Picture clearly shows rectangular bedpost, list calls for 3/4" square pieces, which are shown flush on both sides with 1/2" headboards! You'll need to draw your own plans and check ALL measurements before drawing up your own cut list. Not for beginners. |
