I've had Nerd No More" on my shelves for a while now. I've seen several students pick it up but I don't think anyone has had it long enough to finish. It's a cute book. It's follows the classic storyline of a nerd trying to reinvent a new identity. In addition, the protagonist is trying to deal with unresolved issues revolving around his father's death. Both bullying and popularity pop up as they regard identity. I'd probably pair this with Millicent Min, Girl Genius, Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life, and The Truth about Truman School. I think several of my middle class students would identify with this one.
