Review # 1 was written on 2012-05-16 00:00:00 Justin Collado I have to admit I just wanted to at least get book 90 in this year because I'm not going to make a 100 on the reading challenge close though, This book was so good I do love the friendship between Max and Felix and the troubles they get into..Les Gray did great on the illustrations. Recommend to all ages. My 3 yr old grandson loved it...Gina Clabo |
Review # 2 was written on 2011-05-06 00:00:00 Phillip Kelly These two frogs go on different adventures together after Max got Felix a new camera. Each time Max wanted a good picture, he would be clumsy and they picture would always be of him falling and hurting himself. The format of this book is interesting to me, because it is four different stories within a book. All the stories are of Max and Felix going on different adventures and they all are connected back to the first story of Felix getting his camera. There isnt much meaning to each story either; its just all about what Felix ends up taking a picture of. The illustrations of the books are really light and colorful; it helps set the feeling of the book. The backgrounds on each illustration are white, sort of giving it a simplistic feel yet everything else is colorful and bright. Theres never really any black or dark colors being used and if they are, its in a light, almost transparent way. |
