Review # 1 was written on 2017-01-18 00:00:00 Tyson Basel I first read this book long before I knew what Dungeons and Dragons was, but the book is still invigorating and fresh several decades later. The character interactions are full of sparkle and chemistry; the forbidden romance delights every page of the way, even as the reader feels its protagonists' growing tension and frustration. Adventure, magic, romance, and horror are woven together into an intricate, artful tapestry. I can think of no single bigger influence on my own writing style than this book has proven to be.
