Review # 1 was written on 2014-09-14 00:00:00 lee monnier I stumbled upon this cookbook and while the cover does not give the content justice, I started digging into the content of the book and saw great potential in the recipes in the book. I have started cooking my way through this book and have been very pleased with the recipes that we have tried. I did not know that there were as many different ways to roast a chicken as Tony Rosenfeld describes in the book. I have successfully roasted with two different styles, the traditional oven roasting, but also the grill roasting. My family enjoyed both, and my daughter specifically asked for me to roast more chickens. In addition to the roasting recipes, there are lots of great ideas for using the left over chicken in other dishes. As a family of three we are lucky in that we can use half the chicken for dinner, and then the second half for another second dinner later on. You could always use a roast chicken from the store for these recipes if you were in a hurry, but we have enjoyed the extra flavor of roasting our own.
