Review # 1 was written on 2019-01-07 00:00:00 Zachary Mancill Interesting book about saving the South American 1 tree at a time. There is a slight misunderstanding with the 3 animals of the rainforest and Santa. But now there is someone on their side!

Review # 2 was written on 2014-12-10 00:00:00 Richard Vrhovc This book is called Tree Man and is written by Carmen Agra Deedy. would pair this book up with other Carmen Agra Deedy books to have the students do an author study. I was lucky enough to do an author study on Carmen, and found that she is a very talented writer. I think that this would be a great book to introduce the students to her work. This book is about friends that live in the jungle, and find a Christmas card to Santa. They immediately think that this must be the Tree Man, and that if they leave him presents, he will leave them a tree. The friends all come up with presents to leave for the tree man. When Santa comes, he notices the presents and leaves them a tree. The friends are very excited about this. I would use this book for maybe a 3rd or 4th grade class, because author studies can be a bit of harder work, and I would also want my students to be able to read well.
