Review # 1 was written on 2009-12-31 00:00:00 Anthony Markowski This book ties together two fond memories: of playing fantasy computer games as a teenager, and of travelling through South East Asia as a twenty-something (Lonely Planet guide in hand). This book is surprisingly detailed and well-written, and evokes the sort of hopeful wonder of exploration that a real travel guide does. The locations of Baldur’s Gate and the Sword Coast in general felt, for the briefest of moments, as if they might be real places that I could book a ticket to. A great read for old fans of the Forgotten Realms.
