A chart at the front of the book helps you narrow your list based on length, difficulty, and a brief description. Hikes are also grouped by location in case you want to do multiple hikes. The descriptions are great, and include helpful information to help navigate the trails as well as natural features and wildlife to look for on each trail. There are even suggestions for adjusting some of the hikes if you want to extend or shorten your time on the trail.
