Review # 1 was written on 2018-05-18 00:00:00 Peter Clay Read this in preparation for a trip this fall, following the trail. A good merging of history and how to explore it. After reading Undaunted Courage, it's good to have a modern companion to the route.

Review # 2 was written on 2011-08-21 00:00:00 David Leyonhjelm An excellent travel guide to the Lewis and Clark route. We just finished an epic adventure of eleven weeks over three years tracing the route of Lewis and Clark. Jeeping the Lolo Motorway was the final segment to end such an educational and inspirational experience. This guide book was very comprehensive in following the trail today, while enhancing the adventure with historical data from the journals. I will never forget standing at the source of the Missouri River on Lemhi Pass. Heartfelt thanks to the author!! Fourth Edition.
