Review # 1 was written on 2013-09-05 00:00:00 Rue Jimbo While much of this book is already dated for its primary purpose - the academic serials market has changed dramatically in the last few years - the historical notes make this a really valuable book. The author provides excellent capsule overviews of the development of both science and scientific publishing (mostly but not exclusively English-language) in Europe and North America over the last two centuries. |
